Brief Intro
- In Obsidian, you can bookmark notes, graph views, search queries, markdown headings, canvases, etc.
- Bookmarks are their own entities and can be named.
- You can also create bookmark groups, which are essentially folders of bookmarks and can be recursively nested.
- This can provide a secondary hierarchical structure, besides folders.
Use Cases
- Have a set of notes you want to keep top of mind? Bookmark them.
- e.g. Bookmark a note titled “Yearly Goals”
- Have a workflow where you’re consistently working with a common set of notes? Create a bookmark group containing all those notes.
- e.g. A bookmark group titled, “Next essay”, that contains all the notes related to that essay.
- Have a graph view with specific filters that you commonly use? Bookmark it.
- Have a search query that you commonly use? Bookmark it.
